  • The latest version of MacOS called Catalina will ship with zsh as the default shell rather than bash, apparently they are making the switch because of licensing issues with GPLv3 resulting in not being able to upgrade bash versions, zsh is released under MIT license - I used zsh for a while a few years back and didn't like it much, was much happier when I switched back to bash
